FAQ

1. How would I start the submission process for a paper?

To submit a paper, you need to create a free Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT) account by following the procedure below:

Once you are done creating a new account,

  • Click on Create a new paper submission.
  • In the next screen, insert the Paper Title.
  • Add all authors (with e-mail addresses).
  • Pick a category.
  • Finally upload the file and click on Submit.

2. How can I check the review progress of my submission?

To check the review progress of your submission, simply login to your CMT with the same account that you submitted the paper with. You'll receive a brief summary of all your submission and review decisions (if available).

3. Should I set up a new account every time I want to submit a paper? OR I have already submitted a paper into the conference, can I submit another paper from the same account?

It is recommended that each author use only one e-mail address to register for ICDRET 2016 in the CMT database.

To submit another paper from the same account, log into your CMT account and click on Create a new paper submission.

4. The system tells me that I already have an account, although I do not remember creating one. Why is it so?

If an Author added you as Co-Author on a paper or you were added to the conference as a Reviewer, your name and email address would be registered in that CMT conference. If you want to login to CMT using an email address that has been registered already or if you want to find about the role created for you in CMT please do the following:

  • Go to the CMT login page for the conference.
  • Click on the Forgot your Password? link.
  • Enter your email that has been registered in CMT as your username for you.
  • An email with information to assist you and a link to reset your password will be sent to that email address.
  • After you follow the instructions to rest your password you will then be able to login to the CMT conference.
  • Check the Author and Reviewer console tabs (available if you are assigned as a Reviewer) to see Authored papers and Reviewer assignments.

Note: If you register with multiple emails for some reason please chose to use only one and inform the Chair and Co-Authors so the correct email address will be used in paper submissions and Reviewer assignments.

5. I have forgotten the password for my account. How would I go about resetting it?

  • Go to the CMT login page for the conference.
  • Click on the Forgot your Password? link.
  • Enter your email that has been registered in CMT as your username for you.
  • An email with information to assist you and a link to reset your password will be sent to that email address.
  • After you follow the instructions to rest your password, you will then be able to login to the CMT conference.

6. My question is not listed here, what should I do?

  • If you have any queries or are facing any difficulty, please contact the ICDRET Technical Committee at icdret-tech@uiu.ac.bd
